Fun & Cool Gymnastics

Gymnastics

Normally on Wednesdays Room 8 get Gymnastics lessons in the hall as part of our kiwi sport program the 2 kind, encouraging & enthusastic instructors from Tristar gym assist us in Gymnastics. Their names are Kylie & Cain.

The main focuses we learned are statics which are when you balance and stay still,Rotation where you obviously do rotation jumps or 180 or 360 degree turns on  the spot And these focuses are only some of the fantastic skills we were learning at Gymnastics.

My favourite day was today when we played with a giant rainbow parachute. We had to move the parachute up & down like giant waves then crawl to the other side. We were given names of fruits like banana, apple, pear & Orange & when our fruit name was called we had to crawl under to the other side.

My next learning steps are improve at jumps, landings & moves that require more flexibility because I am not flexible at all.

At the end of it we got a certificate that shows that we know the basic requirements & rules  of Gymnastics.

Here is the link to the Tristar gym website if you want to know more about Gymnastics.
